Tweezing Makes Things Worse
One thing I hear time and time again from clients is…
I didn’t know that tweezing made it worse!

The reason tweezing causes more hair growth is because the dermal papilla supplies blood flow to the hair follicle and when you pull the hair out blood and lymph rush to the area and actually nourishes that hair follicle. This makes that hair come back thicker, coarser and soon they multiply.
In addition, over time you will start to get ingrown hairs and if you try to pick them out, this can lead to skin discoloration (hyperpigmentation) and scarring. It’s best to shave until you can get into an appointment to rid yourself of the unwanted hair because tweezing makes things worse. It is not an overnight treatment as hair grows in cycles. Be prepared to attend more than one session to resolve the issue. If you tend to have an abnormal abundance of unwanted hair it may be the result of PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome).
So if you catch yourself picking up the tweezers – stop. Just call me instead! – Deb 970-237-1711
